Moorage
Monthly, Seasonal, Annual
Happy Harbor has boat slips available to moor houseboats, and covered boat slips available for ski boats, pontoon boats and more. We’re located in the heart of Shasta Lake.
Included in the moorage, you will have unlimited pump-out service. The moorage is gated and accessible at all times through a combination lock. Security cameras are positioned throughout the marina and we have an on-site resident to insure that your boat is secure and safe. There are plenty of carts for transporting your things from your car to your boat. Or you can ask a staff member to bring a patio boat to the ramp to assist with heavier items.
Gas and ice can be purchased seven days a week, year-round. Fresh water is available at the dock. Trash receptacles are located on the dock for your use. The marina store is open year round and is stocked with cold drinks, beer, wine, groceries, fishing tackle, souvenirs, and stylish apparel. Rental jet skiis, wakeboards and paddleboards are also available.
Best Vacation Ever
Houseboat vacations are quite literally the “best vacation ever!” The houseboats at Happy Harbor are fully stocked with modern amenities (stainless steel appliances, even a blender for margaritas). It’s a floating house with beds, bathrooms, showers, a kitchen, an entertainment center, and more. While vacationing on our houseboats, you can meander through scenic waterways while grilling delicious steaks “deck-side” on the full size gas grill, watch a movie in the lounge, or soak in the hot tub. You can take a dip in the water or anchor your boat at the head of a Shasta Lake shoreline trail for some exploring.
Located in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest in northern California, Lake Shasta is just 20 minutes north of Redding. With 370 miles of mountainous, forested shoreline, it is truly the perfect houseboating lake. The major tributaries–the Sacramento River, the McCloud River, the Pitt River, and Squaw Creek–are brought together by Shasta Dam to form this incredible recreational wonder. There are hundreds of coves for mooring your floating lodge overnight and long channels with islands and inlets for cruising and adventuring during the day.
The water is warm, clear, and calm–perfect for swimming, skiing, and wakeboarding. The fish are abundant. Bass tournaments are hosted during the spring and fall. Trout, Crappie, Chinook Salmon, Bass and Catfish are also plentiful. Hiking and mountain bike trails are maintained and are accessible by boat.
There are black-tail mule deer, bald eagles, ospreys, black bears, and many other animals that can be seen in their natural habitat. The skies are so beautiful and crystal-clear, you can see snow-capped mountains in the distance. And at night, it’s as though you could touch the stars.
